Thicket of
Equisetum giganteum (Equisetaceae) in the Bolivian lowlands, 2007. While of course the extant species are not the same as the ones that existed during the Mesozoicum, there is supposedly not a lot of difference in appearance between this and the fossil genus
Equisetites, meaning that dinosaurs would already have stomped through very similar vegetation.
