Bedfordia are shrubs and treelets and can be of a rather impressive size for members of the daisy family. This species and its mainland relative
B. arborescens are known as blanket leaves because of the nicely soft and dense cover of hairs on the lower leaf sides. The genus is probably not really distinct from mostly New Zealand
Brachyglottis; at the least from my experience they look pretty much like hairier
Brachyglottis brunonis.
