These past three days I have been at the annual conference of the Australasian Systematic Botany Society at Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Unfortunately, I will not participate in the field trip to the volcanic plateau tomorrow and instead return home. However, at least I have seen a nice native daisy here:
Pachystegia insignis (Asteraceae), planted in a flowerbed directly in front of the hall where the conference took place. The name was kindly provided by Ilse Breitwieser.
