Family trip to Wee Jasper

Today we went on a day trip to Wee Jasper to visit Carey's Cave, one of the largest accessible cave systems on the continent. Photos below the fold.

Limestone above the cave with ridges carved by water.
In the cave system.
Stalagtites in the making.
Stalagtites in cross-section. I wondered what a creationist would think when listening to the explanation on how long it takes for these to grow and how old they are. Probably "lalala I can't hear you" or something.
And finally something botanical: grass tree (Xanthorrhoea, Xanthorrhoeaceae) at Wee Jasper Nature Reserve.
