Field work in Kosciuszko NP (2)

As announced, another post from Kosciuszko National Park, although less opulent this time. Today we ascended Mt Stillwell and visited another locality in Perisher Valley.

Perisher Valley as seen from the peak of Mt Stillwell.

A grasshopper; these guys are pretty slow and unconcerned by an approaching camera, so it would not appear as if they had to fear much up here.

The beautiful sticky and digestive glands of sundew Drosera arcturi (Droseraceae).

Stackhousia pulvinaris (Celastraceae), a cushion plant with sweet-scented flowers.
